Prescot's Learn to Swim program operates around Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park smaller 25m pool. The pool has a moveable floor which enables the children to learn in a safe environment. The higher groups may be taken into the main pool under extra supervision for work that cannot be done in the small pool.
The program follows Swim England's Learn to Swim framework for Stages 1 to 7.

Group One swim at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park on a Sunday afternoon from 2:30pm until 3:00pm or 3:00 until 3:30.
Once a child is capable of performing and repeating all elements of Learn to Swim Stage 1 they will progress to Group Two.

Once a child is capable of performing and repeating all elements of Learn to Swim Stage 5 & 6 they will progress to Group Five.

Group Five swim at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park on a Sunday afternoon from 3:00pm until 3:30pm and Wednesday evenings from 19:00pm until 20:00pm.
Once a child is capable of performing and repeating all elements of Learn to Swim Stage 7 they will be able to progress into the main swimming scheme at Prescot.
