Everybody got at least 2 Long Course PBs in a total of 59 swum by the 13 swimmers over the weekend. So well done to everyone.
Mat Twiss finished 263rd in his age group in a pretty respectable time of 38:41 - apparently doing breaststroke since he could not get his arms over his head in his wet suit after eating too many bacon butties beforehand,
He has already dropped off £257 in sponsorship money and still has a little more to collect. Could all those kind folks who sponsored Mat please get their money to him as soon as possible please
Prescot's swimmers had a busy weekend at Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park. First off on Saturday was Everton's Faye Lafferty Memorial gala, followed on Sunday by Liverpool Penguin's MacMillan gala.
They were fast out of the blocks on Saturday winning 3 out of the first 5 races and (the girls in particular) kept up the pressure on a strong Everton squad throughout finally taking 2nd place overall. Final result was 1st Everton (349 points), 2nd Prescot (304), 3rd Halton (273), 4th Bridgefield (235), 5th Crosby (185), 6th & North Liverpool (171), 7th Birkenhead (170), 8th Runcorn (145).
It was going to be a hard job to bounce back for a second time and Sunday's gala indeed proved to be a bit tougher. Wins which had come thick and fast on the Saturday were few and far between but the kids swam their hearts out and finished in a solid 4th place. Final result 1st Garston (230 points), 2nd Halton (221), 3rd Ormskirk Otters (188), 4th Prescot (174), 5th Liverpool Penguin (162), 6th Bootle & North Liverpool (75)

Finally, many congratulations to Charlotte Dodson who won 9 out of her 10 races over the weekend, only missing out on 1st place in her final event, the Girls Cannon, by a fingernail to the Garston team.
